I'm 5'4" 125 lbs and ordered the 0/2 (FYI: the dress is labeled S/Small when you receive it). These maxi style dresses usually don't look very good on me (they are too long for my height) but this one looks amazing and doesn't make me look short and stumpy. It's classy and sexy at the same time. Speaking of sexy, if you have larger boobs (I'm a 34D) be prepared to show a little side boob in this dress.
Create a free-spirited look with a woven multi-color fabric backpack; with its vibrant colors, it's a perfect carryall. Stay classic with a bold leather clutch crafted in India to bring a global, sophisticated edge to your look for the night. Pair it with a fashionable maxi dress, keeping a pashmina close by for a light and fashionable way to keep warm. Expand your eclectic and festival-inspired wardrobe to get that great bohemian-chic look. And because each piece is handcrafted, no two items are exactly alike.
As the 1860s progressed, Rossetti would become the grand prince of bohemianism as his deviations from normal standards became more audacious. And as he became this epitome of the unconventional, his egocentric demands necessarily required his close friends to remodel their own lives around him. His bohemianism was like a web in which others became trapped – none more so than William and Jane Morris.[6]

When it comes to bohemian style, not everyone is a free spirit and a brave soul to go running on the streets on this meeting of style and patterns. But this might be it! The season you rock the boho-chic look for the first time. Bohemians were known as traveling people across the Europe, so if you feel like making your life more adventurous try to take your adrenaline up a notch. There are some unwritten rules when it comes to this "non-bourgeois" fashion style, but take a look at our collection on boho maxi dress and look charming on your bohemian lace dress.

Jane Morris, who was to become Rossetti's muse, epitomised, probably more than any of the women associated with the pre-Raphaelites, an unrestricted, flowing style of dress that, while unconventional at the time, would be highly influential at certain periods during the 20th century.[7] She and others, including the much less outlandish Georgiana Burne-Jones (wife of Edward Burne-Jones,[8] one of the later pre-Raphaelites), eschewed the corsets and crinolines of the mid-to-late Victorian era,[9] a feature that impressed the American writer Henry James when he wrote to his sister in 1869 of the bohemian atmosphere of the Morrises’ house in the Bloomsbury district of London and, in particular, the "dark silent medieval" presence of its chateleine:

When the weather gets too cold for shorts, bohos turn to two distinct types of trousers to provide them with coverage and style. The first of these trouser types is jeans. Jeans are a wardrobe staple for every gent and bohemians are no exception. To pull off the bohemian look, ensure that your jeans are the appropriate off-duty style. Forego the sharp, dark denim you wear to the office on casual Friday, and opt for a rugged and ripped, light or mid-blue jeans instead. A slim silhouette is best while cuffed legs are optional. While these jeans suit the easy-going nature of bohemian style, pleated trousers create an old-world feel that suits its vintage feel. Wear them slightly baggy in the leg and belted at the waist to complete the style.

I’m a sucker for Bohemian style dresses not because I’m a hippie at heart but because I relate to the vibe. Also, being a hippie is directly proportional to boho, but boho is not necessarily hippie. This style blurred all geographical boundaries and welded cultures as far as fashion is concerned. I can go on about this all night! I’ll simply let you go and explore the boho world. Remember to drop a message in the comment section about your favorite boho style piece.

^ In 2013 The Oldie published a cartoon depicting women suffragettes of the early 20th century with the caption "... but I'm not sure about this proposal to burn our whalebone corsets" (Oldie, February 2013). A pragmatic 21st-century view was that "feminism is not about burning your bra in the street. It is about [among other things] women getting up in the morning and leaving the house to go to a job that pays them an actual wage ..." (Laura Smith, letter in Metro, 30 October 2012).

Everett recalled also the Johns' woods "with wild cherry trees in blossom, and ... a model with flying red hair, clad in white, being chased in and out of the trees by nude children".[43] With similar lack of inhibition, as early as 1907 the American heiress Natalie Barney (1875–1972) was leading like-minded women in sapphic dances in her Parisian garden,[44] photographs of which look little different from scenes at Woodstock in 1969 and other "pop" festivals of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Slouchy, distressed booties seem to be boho girls Mary-Kate Olsen and Vanessa Hudgens' staples. I prefer styles that are loose around the ankles, so they're perfect for wearing with both shorter skirts and tucking into skinny jeans. It's up to you whether you want a heel or not, but make sure the heel isn't too high or skinny so your boots will stay comfortable while watching concerts or walking to class.

I LOVE this dress. I had been having some bad days lately where I've been hating the way all of my clothes look on my body (I'm a bigger girl, roughly 180lbs and 5 feet tall) so I ordered this dress as a hope it'll cheer me up and boy did it. It's so flattering on me, and fits perfectly. I was so excited by how much I loved this dress that I immediately ordered another one in another color. I wish there were more color options (I would die for a black one with flowers on it) so I could wear it everyday. I don't remember the last time I bought something that I loved this much and that made me feel this confident. My only issue is I'll need to hem it a little since it just barely drags on the ground, but that's standard for being short ... full review
